Build Your Business and Reach More Buyers in 2012

The spring selling season brings with it hopes for recovery and renewal. And agents who find the most success this season will be those who not only reach new clients, but those who successfully reconnect with previous ones as well.

As you prepare for the upcoming spring season, I wanted to share with you several of the ways a membership in the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC) can help you build your business and reach more buyer-clients this year. From social media tools to customizable marketing materials, buyers’ agents who earn the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) designation have access to a wealth of prospecting and referral resources. Here are just a few:

Be Social
We know that connected members maximize their exposure with social media. In fact, we created a tool for REALTORS® to use on Facebook to promote and explain their ABR® designation to consumers. REBAC also offers various ways for you to connect with other ABR®s for tips and referral opportunities on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. With over 23,000 fans, the REBAC Facebook page provides agents a central hub for news, tips, special offers and more. REBAC members can also generate referrals and connect with one another by joining the ABR® Network, our exclusive online community.

Educate Others
Members have the opportunity to use customizable postcards, print ads and consumer-focused collateral, highlighting topics useful for buyers. We also offer members of REBAC access to a number of tools and resources to help them communicate the benefits of buyer representation to potential clients. The free Homebuyer’s Toolkit and Seminar Guide allows agents to educate clients with a comprehensive buying guide as they prepare for their next transaction.

Stay Informed
REBAC members receive a monthly printed newsletter and weekly e-newsletter to help them stay ahead of the latest trends in today’s market. Agents also enjoy complimentary webinars on topics of special interest to buyers’ reps and can have their questions answered in our Ask the Expert forum.

REBAC strives to make agents relevant and to rise above others in the industry. If you are interested in becoming a member of REBAC and earning your ABR®, visit rebac.net to enroll today.

Marc Gould is the executive director of The Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC).
