(MCT)—Singer Melanie Brown —Scary Spice from her days with the Spice Girls —and her husband, producer Stephen Belafonte, have put their Tarzana, Calif., compound on the market at $3.45 million.

The country French-style house, which was recently renovated, contains a gym, five bedrooms and eight bathrooms in 8,200 square feet of living space. The chateau, a detached media recording studio, a detached movie theater and a swimming pool sit on more than half an acre. Outdoor living spaces include a dining room with chandeliers, a living room and a cabana.

Mel B, as she is also known, joined the girl group in 1994, and the “Spice” album put them on the road to becoming the bestselling all-female group in music history. She released her first solo album, “Hot,” in 2000.

Brown, 36, has acted on stage and in film, and is a judge for the Australian version of “The X Factor.” She has written and performed soundtracks for TV shows including “Live From Studio Five” (2009 and 2010) and has been a guest and contestant on “Dancing With the Stars” (2007-10).

Belafonte produced “Mel B: It’s a Scary World” (2010) for television. His film work includes “The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call—New Orleans” (2009) and “Mutant Chronicles (2008).

The pair bought the gated San Fernando Valley home two years ago for $3.159 million.

Showbiz Couple Go In New Direction

Actress Kiele Sanchez and her ex-husband, writer-director Zach Helm, have listed their Los Feliz, Calif., area house for sale at $1.849 million.

The restored Mediterranean retains its 1920s vibe with stenciled beam ceilings and original tile work. About 4,000 square feet of living space includes a living room with a fireplace, a formal dining room, four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Sanchez, 35, has starred on “The Glades” since 2010. She was on “Lost” in 2006 and 2007. Helm, 36, wrote and directed “Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium” (2007) and wrote “Stranger Than Fiction” (2006).

Public records show that the property last changed hands in 2006 for $2.775million.

Kohl’s Westside Location Closes

Allen and Anita Kohl of the Kohl’s department store family have sold their Santa Monica, Calif., penthouse for $10.5 million.

The top-floor condo has 360-degree views. The high-rise, built in 1963 and remodeled in 2004, offers 24-hour security, a fitness facility, gardens and fountains.

The penthouse’s features include a rooftop deck with a spa and barbecue, two direct-access elevators, a library, an office, a media room, two master suites, balconies and floor-to-ceiling walls of glass. There are five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and more than 8,000 square feet of living space in the unit.

The Kohls bought the property in 2003 for $8.1 million, according to public records. It came on the market in October at $12.995 million.
