FrontDoor.com, the online real estate information service powered by HGTV, recently The Doory Awards—a new way to recognize and celebrate America’s most outstanding homes for sale. Since March 1, HGTV’s FrontDoor has been inviting real estate agents to visit Frontdoor.com to nominate their listings for one or more of The Doory Award’s 20 distinct categories. If the listing is chosen, the for-sale home will get the kind of exposure money can’t buy, not to mention the bragging rights that come along with being selected by HGTV’s FrontDoor.
Beginning Monday, April 2, the nominated homes will be featured on FrontDoor.com where America will vote for their favorite listing in each category, which range from beautiful beachside retreats and hip urban dwellings to small homes and grand estates. The Doory Award winners will be announced on FrontDoor.com on Thursday, May 17.
To nominate a listing, agents can visit FrontDoor.com and complete the submissions form to tell us why that home should be a nominee. To be eligible, the property listing must have appeared on FrontDoor at any point between January 1 and March 31, 2012. Homes will be nominated and winners chosen in categories that can focus on either the home as a whole, type of home, location of home, cost of home, standout rooms or even unique features of homes.
The deadline for submissions is March 31, 2012. FrontDoor editors will review all submissions and will contact the lucky agents via email by April 2.
