HUNT Real Estate ERA Merges with Turning Key Realty

Home News
September 11, 2012
Reading Time: 2 mins read

Recentlyt, 101 year old Buffalo-based HUNT Real Estate ERA, with residential sales well in excess of $1 billion so far in 2012, announced the acquisition of the promising young real estate firm, Turning Key Realty. Owned and operated by industry-veteran Terri Kern, Turning Key has 14 sales associates and a state-of-the-art facility at 4784 North French Road in East Amherst. HUNT will maintain the current Turning Key Realty location.

In addition to remaining as the leader of her sales team at the East Amherst location, Kern will become the Niagara Region Supervising Branch Leader for HUNT’s branch office locations in Wheatfield, Lockport and Lewiston. HUNT recently appointed 25-year industry leader Jamie Mendel-Kolb as Broker Consultant for its Lockport Branch, located in the Ulrich City Center in Lockport. Mendel-Kolb will be part of the Niagara Regional Leadership Team with Terri Kern.

“We have had a long-standing friendship with Terri Kern, including a period of time when she was associated with us as a leading sales agent and a graduate of our Leadership Development Program,” says Peter F. Hunt, President and CEO of HUNT Real Estate Corporation.

“By associating with an established firm like HUNT, with whom I am well-acquainted, I can now offer my associates a set of services that will enable them to take their careers to the next level and serve their clients in new ways. The opportunity to lead HUNT’s Niagara County team is very exciting for me personally,” says Kern.

HUNT is a full service real estate and homeownership services company, providing residential and commercial real estate services, relocation, mortgage, title, insurance and a full suite of homeownership services through their Realty Club division to buyers and sellers in a broad market area. By following a strategic plan and staying on course, the company is ahead of plan and ahead of last year’s performance already this year.

HUNT has been the recipient of numerous industry awards and recognitions over the years, and is ranked 34th out of the top 300 brokers nationwide in closed transaction sides in RISMedia’s 24th Annual Power Broker Report. HUNT was the first in their area to launch a customer service department, and the first to offer in house training for their real estate associates.
