Phillippe Unloads Tricked-Out Pad for $6 Million
Actor Ryan Phillippe recently sold his California home for $6 million. Despite the high price, the actor actually took a significant loss: He bought the Hollywood Hills West pad for more than $7 million in 2008, after his marriage to actress Reese Witherspoon unraveled. This is the second time Phillippe has listed the property.
The five-bedroom, 6.5-bathroom home includes several impressive and unique features sprinkled throughout the 7,600 feet of living space. These features include a step-down bar with an aquarium backdrop, a two-story entry hall that was converted into a gym, and a 60-foot swimming pool with underwater speakers.
But the colorful features don’t stop inside the home—even the listing proved to be uncommon. Listed as a “Zen modern retreat,” the home’s listing stressed an abundance of privacy, mentioning that the gate of the secluded residence can “stopperrazzi” and provide an escape from “the drone of urban existence.”
