Reading Time: 3 mins read

The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) continues to cultivate valuable interactions with real estate’s leading brokers in order to better serve their needs. By offering a variety of tools and resources dedicated to helping brokers and their agents achieve best business practices, NAR continues to strengthen its connection with this important group.

Programs
Broker Involvement Program

The Broker Involvement Program, offered through NAR’s Broker Involvement Council, provides broker/owners with a quick and effective way to rally agents on critical legislative issues affecting the real estate industry. With more than 17,000 broker/owners and 450,000 agents already involved in the dynamic program, bringing a strong, united voice to Members of Congress, NAR ensures that REALTORS® will be heard loud and clear on Capitol Hill. Brokers can manage their unique calls for action through NAR’s Broker Portal, which has proven to generate a high response rate from their agents in taking action with Members of Congress. Working together in force with other like-minded professionals affords participating brokers with a unified force to better influence important public policy changes. To join, visit www.RealtorActionCenter.com and click on the “For REALTORS®” tab.

Events
2014 REALTOR® Broker Summit

Designed by real estate brokers to advance best business strategies and network within the real estate industry, the sold-out REALTOR® Broker Summit took place August 6-7 in Atlanta. The program offered critical insight from broker peers and established real estate experts on topics including risk management, branding, agent recruitment/retention, data security, economic and public policy trends. Also featured were top-name speakers, including HGTV co-founder Susan Packard, historian and author David Eisenhower and U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson. An RISMedia Power Broker Roundtable addressed consumer communications, growth strategies, technology investments and more issues affecting the industry. Watch for more REALTOR® Broker Summits in the future.

Idea Exchange Council for Brokers
The Idea Exchange Council for Brokers meets two times per year at NAR’s major meetings and is a think tank for sharing broker challenges, ideas and solutions. The next meeting will take place on Friday, November 7 at the REALTORS® Conference & Expo in New Orleans. Participating professionals include representatives from real estate brokerage companies of all sizes and geographic locations. Topics covered will be agent retention, risk management and liability in a digital world. All brokers attending the REALTORS® Conference & Expo are welcome to take part.
