Long & Foster Expands Business on the Carolina Coastline

Home News
November 16, 2015
Reading Time: 2 mins read

Long & Foster Real Estate is growing its business along the East Coast, the company has announced. The brokerage will serve clients on the coast in North and South Carolina, from Wilmington, N.C., to Myrtle Beach, S.C., and its focus is currently on Brunswick County, N.C., which is one of the fastest growing counties in the country.

“In recent years, we’ve observed a growing trend in the number of homeowners relocating from the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions to the Carolinas, whether for second homes or retirement,” says Pandra Richie, president of Long & Foster’s Corporate Real Estate Services (CRES) division. “Seeing this occur, we recognized the opportunity to expand our presence in these areas and help ensure a smooth transition for our clients, from helping them to sell their homes in our current markets to assisting them in finding a new home on the Carolina coast.”

As part of its coastal expansion, Long & Foster has hired Judson Poole, a longtime real estate professional and North Carolina native, as broker-in-charge of its North and South Carolina coastal sales. Poole has nearly 25 years of experience in the real estate industry, including new and second homes, as well as retirement communities.

“As we move into the coastal Carolinas, it’s great to have the knowledge and expertise of someone like Judson who’s worked and lived in the area for many years,” says Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Judson brings a unique understanding of the local market and its resident, which will not only benefit Long & Foster as a company, but also all our clients who are interested in relocating to or purchasing second homes in the Carolinas.”

Poole comes to Long & Foster from Murphy Family Ventures & River Landing Companies, where he led sales and marketing efforts for the 1,700-acre award-winning planned community. Prior to that, Poole worked with Fonville Morisey Barefoot New Home Sales & Marketing, where he served as sales director for a golf community. He also has held leadership roles with other home builders and communities during his career—experience that has well positioned him to build Long & Foster’s presence on the Carolina coastline.

“I’m excited to take on this new role with the Long & Foster team, and I look forward to leading our efforts to expand our business along the Carolina coastlines,” says Poole. “With the backing of the Long & Foster team, as well as my knowledge of the North and South Carolina real estate markets, I’m confident we will achieve tremendous success in growing our presence and even better supporting buyers and sellers on the East Coast.”
