Quicken Loans Named Charlotte’s Best Place to Work

Home News
November 30, 2015
Reading Time: 2 mins read

Quicken Loans recently announced they ranked No. 1 on The Charlotte Business Journal’s ‘2015 Best Places to Work’ list in the large company category. The results are based primarily on employee surveys that were conducted and evaluated by Quantum Workplace on behalf of The Charlotte Business Journal. Quicken Loans also received the Community Impact Award for its charitable work and volunteering in the Charlotte community.

“When you combine talented people with an amazing culture and give them the chance to be creative and innovative, you’re bound to build a great workplace and a successful business,” says David Schroeder, Vice President of Quicken Loans Mortgage Services, a Charlotte-based division of Quicken Loans. “This ranking confirms what we’ve known since we opened our Charlotte office in 2010 – if you treat your team members well, they will show the same level of care to your clients.”

This philosophy is evident as Quicken Loans was ranked highest in the United States in “customer satisfaction” among all major home loan lenders for primary mortgage origination for six consecutive years (2010 – 2015) by J.D. Power, and highest in customer satisfaction among all mortgage servicers in 2014 and 2015, its first two years of eligibility.

Quicken Loans, which has grown its Charlotte office by 65 percent in the past year and now employs 330 team members, provides mortgages to clients in all 50 states through centralized online lending centers.

Quicken Loans employees volunteered more than 2,000 hours to local charities and community groups in the Charlotte area in 2014 alone. Team members are granted a fully paid day off to volunteer in the community.

“Being named as a great workplace is a fantastic recognition, but what’s equally meaningful is knowing the positive impact on the community where we live and work,” added Schroeder. “We’re only getting started and our team members are more excited than ever.”

Quicken Loans sets the standard for an innovative workplace by empowering team members to fully engage in process improvements.
