EBCBOR Installs 2016 Leadership and Youngest President in Association History

Over 600 REALTORS®, financial and industry professionals from around the state gathered at the Eastern Bergen County Board of REALTORS®, (EBCBOR) Annual Installation and Holiday Gala held recently at the Rockleigh Country Club.

Jorge Ledesma, Broker Manager of RE/MAX Quality Homes in Teaneck, the youngest president in EBCBOR’s 92 year history, was formally by 2015 President-Elect of the New Jersey REALTORS® and Past President of EBCBOR, Robert Oppenheimer.

At age 30 President Ledesma, is the youngest President in EBCBOR history.  He was elected to the Board of Directors in 2013. Five years ago, he helped to form the Young Professionals Network to encourage the involvement of new practitioners in the real estate industry. Today the Bergen County YPN is the oldest and largest in the state. Ledesma serves on the National Association of REALTORS® Global Business Alliance council. He is a director for the New Jersey MLS and sits on the Board of Trustees for the EBCBOR Charitable Care Foundation.

In his President’s message, Ledesma saluted EBCBOR’s outgoing President, Bowen Pak and the great accomplishments he and his leadership team in made in 2015 and his plans to further these efforts in 2016.

“The real estate market is now at its best point in 10 years, and as REALTORS® we remain committed to helping build a responsible, sustainable housing market in for Bergen County 2015,” said Ledesma. “Now more than ever, our industry depends & thrives on the day to day interaction that we have with our clients and colleagues. We are the difference and I am proud to tackle these changes head on.”

Ledesma continued, “REALTORS® represent the fabric of our communities. We help drive local economies, provide real time data, engage in our communities and become a part of our clients’ families. Today more than ever it cannot be says enough, that Realtors do more than sell homes.”

Ledesma entered into the real estate profession immediately after completing his Bachelors’ Degree, graduating with honors from Fairleigh Dickenson University with a degree in International Business. Jorge’s success was immediate. He earned not only RE/MAX sales awards but also the New Jersey REALTORS® Circle of Excellence Sales Award, which is earned by less than ten percent of agents statewide.
