Spotlight: Close Quicker with Quicken Loans

"Clock showing five to twelve. Last minute, stress concept."

If you want to offer your real estate clients the highest level of service, it’s vital that you work with a mortgage lender who has their eye on the same prize. Dale Clift, business development manager and Century 21 broker, has been in real estate for over 15 years, and he has been working with mortgage lending company Quicken Loans for just as long.

A Detroit-based company, Quicken Loans has been a lending leader since 1985. In fact, in a 2016 study conducted by J.D. Power, the company ranked highest in customer satisfaction for Primary Mortgage Origination for the sixth straight year, and for Mortgage Servicing for the third straight year.

One win that can’t be overlooked when it comes to working with Quicken Loans? Their response time. The Spartanburg County, S.C., broker says he ultimately chose Quicken Loans not only because they’re easy to use, but because they’re so easy to connect with.

“The Market Manager team at Quicken Loans gives us the power of a national brand with the feel of a local lender,” says Clift. “With a dedicated Market Manager in our geographic region, I’m able to have the one-on-one relationship with Quicken Loans that I’m looking for. When a client comes to me looking for a mortgage, I’m able to send them to Quicken Loans for the VIP treatment they deserve, and I stay in the center of the communication.”

“We like having someone to talk to. They actually answer the phone and call you back,” adds Clift, pointing out that many national lenders don’t make it easy to contact them, and when working with other lenders, his team has had to wait for days to get a return call. Sometimes, it never even comes. But not with Quicken Loans. “They are very responsive. They either answer the phone or get back to us quickly,” says Clift.

Clift also prefers working with Quicken Loans because of their transparency. “They are not afraid to return our calls, even if it’s not with good news. Too many lenders try to skirt the issue or make excuses. just tells it like it is.”

True to their name, working with Quicken Loans helps Clift’s team shepherd their clients to close faster. “As with any lender, speed can depend on the accuracy of the purchaser, but Quicken Loans does close easier and faster. Just having someone to answer the phone is half the battle.”
