To cease ongoing education is to cease momentum not only for yourself, but for your business. As a real estate professional traversing an ever-fluctuating market, ongoing education is elemental to your success.

Top time-saving trick: Leveraging paperwork and measuring homes.
What does your current real estate market look like? Our current real estate market is very hot right now. In fact, multiple offers are a common occurrence.
Many agents are now bypassing open houses in favor of other options. What is your take on open houses, and do your agents still hold them? My buyers agents hold open houses every weekend and they are extremely busy. A lot of prospective buyers come through, making open houses a great source for consistent leads.

How do your agents connect with past clients?
We send out monthly digital newsletters to our current clients. In addition, we also have our clients set up on eEdge 33 Touch, a Keller Williams Realty system with an automated newsletter that reminds me to make calls or send mail, all of which total 33 touches to each client per year. I also hold quarterly client appreciation events, which are more like parties for socializing. We have food and drinks at all these events, and then a big holiday party with music, drinks and a sit-down dinner.

What is your No. 1 piece of advice for real estate success?
To truly be successful in real estate, it’s crucial that you keep learning along the way. That means taking the time to attend seminars, classes and conventions. Success also comes from taking great care of your clients.

I know you advertise in The Real Estate Book and on RealEstateBook.com. How do those work into your overall marketing strategy for your own brand and for your listings?
The Real Estate Book advertising that we do is one piece of marketing that helps me get listings. Not only do my sellers love seeing their homes in the magazine, we also receive leads from prospective buyers who pick up the magazine and text for more information.
