Spotlight: Remaining in the Know while On the Go

know_on_the_goTo stay afloat in a fluctuating real estate market, it’s important to remain flexible and up to date. “Dealing with different people from all over the U.S. and abroad heightens my world view and keeps me well rounded,” says Deborah McMullen, a REALTOR® with McGrew Real Estate and the 2015 Kansas Association of REALTORS® president-elect. “It’s challenging and rewarding, and keeps you on your toes.”

To be a successful agent, the ability to remain on your toes is vital, as you’ll often be asked to field questions and provide information to clients on the fly. In a mobile-centric era, consumers expect mobile-centric information; telling a client you’ll get back to them with stats is no longer acceptable. One tool that has the ability to keep agents flexible and up to date while they’re on the go is Realtors Property Resource® (RPR®), the largest comprehensive database of parcel-centric property information in the industry.

Available as a website and an app, RPR acts as an online real estate library, aggregating hundreds of datasets on over 160 million properties. This in-depth, accurate property and ownership information allows agents to impress even the most demanding clients with ease by offering company branded reports and charts. The cherry on top? RPR is an exclusive benefit to NAR members.

An agent for over 21 years, McMullen has been using RPR since it was first introduced back in 2009, and is a fan of the website and the app, both of which help her stand out as a knowledgeable source in her local market.

“I live in a college community, so I work with many professors and educated people, and they appreciate the reports and charts that I can provide ,” says McMullen. The ease of supplying this kind of up-to-date information is something today’s mobile consumer expects from their agent, an expectation that’s easy to fulfill with RPR.

“When I am in the car on a tour with a buyer and I use RPR to pull up information, they know they are in good hands and that I am able to provide what they want and need,” says McMullen, who notes that the RPR app is her most used resource.

From branded reports covering comparable sales to information on school systems and the surrounding community, RPR acts as a curator you can keep in your pocket, aggregating information to save you—the agent—both time and energy.

“As a full-time REALTOR® at the largest agency in our community, speaks to our professionalism and dedication to the consumer.”
