Engel & Völkers has added five franchise sales hires to its Expansion team, which centers on expansion in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean, the company recently announced. Bryan Shaffer has been named vice president of Expansion, focused on the Mid-Atlantic U.S.; Don Brown has been named vice president of Expansion, focused on the Midwestern U.S.; Glenn Leingang has been named vice president of Expansion, focused on the Southern U.S.; Randy Workman has been named vice president of Expansion, focused on the Western U.S.; and Alex Dennis-Browne has been named expansion manager.

“This is a pivotal time for Engel & Völkers,” says Anthony Hitt, president and CEO of Engel & Völkers Americas. “The rare combination of talent and sophistication that Engel & Völkers represents has never been stronger in the Americas and across the globe. We have reached a critical turning point as we offer a unique, much needed value proposition that’s attracting top industry professionals in choice locations where today’s domestic and international homebuyers want to be.”

EVP Jacob Stepan will continue on as leader of the Expansion team, with assistance from SVP of Expansion Tim Jones, who will “take on a more strategic role in the coming months,” according to a company release.

In 2017, Engel & Völkers opened 42 new shop locations in select markets across the Americas, some of which included Seattle, Wash.; Charleston, S.C.; Chattanooga, Tenn.; and Beaver Creek, Colo. in the U.S.; Niagara Falls, ON; Oakville, ON; and Okanagan, BC in Canada; and new-entry countries Belize and The Bahamas. With focused expansion efforts in the Americas since 2014, Engel & Völkers Americas now consists of approximately 150 real estate shops doing business in five countries with a network of nearly 2,700 real estate advisors. Bolstered by its established European legacy, Engel & Völkers currently operates a global network in more than 30 countries with over 10,000 advisors.
