CoreLogic to Power Upstream

Upstream, the broker-controlled data initiative, now has a new vendor.

On Monday, CoreLogic announced the initiative, launched last year, will be powered by Trestle™, CoreLogic’s data management system, as well as other unnamed proprietary systems. Data distribution will be launched in phase one of the project, according to the announcement, and broker rates will remain the same.

“More than any other technology firm in the real estate industry, CoreLogic is well positioned to deliver an industry-wide platform at a speed of implementation necessary to secure significant adoption during the coming year,” says Alex Lange, CEO of UpstreamRE, LLC. “Under the terms of the agreement, real estate brokers participating in Upstream will continue to pay the same rates but have access to a wider array of features on the Upstream platform.”

“The concept behind Trestle was to build bridges that securely connect data to broker technology applications,” says Chris Bennett, executive leader of Real Estate Solutions for CoreLogic. “This agreement between UpstreamRE and CoreLogic exemplifies that idea by creating a rules-driven data environment that makes it easy and efficient for technology vendors and multiple listing organizations to power real estate broker solutions.”

According to Bennett, broker data will be retrievable similarly to Trestle, which is certified platinum by the Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO), with add/edit functionality to be introduced at a later time.

“We anticipate brokers will choose to push listing data into Upstream from their multiple listing platform and distribute data using Trestle as they do today,” Bennett says. “In the future, brokers will have access to add/edit capabilities and additional features that enhance their data and photos.”

In December, the National Association of REALTORS® and Realtors Property Resource® (RPR®), NAR’s subsidiary, mutually parted ways with Upstream, following a three-year long partnership.
