Weichert Realtors Continues Accelerated Nationwide Growth

RISMEDIA, March 12, 2007-Weichert Real Estate Affiliates accelerated its nationwide growth with the openings of new franchise offices in Fresno, California, in Columbia, Maryland, and in Blue Springs, Missouri. In addition, four affiliated Weichert offices expanded to new locations in North Carolina, Texas, and Tennessee.

The new WeichertR affiliates are:

– Weichert Realtors® – Joaquin Valley Properties, Fresno, Calif. Owned by Broker Leonel Alvarado, this new office serves the Central San Joaquin Valley.
– Weichert Realtors® – New Colony, Columbia, Md. Michael McKenna and David R. Vane are the owners of this office, opened in 2004. McKenna is the general manager and Vane is the broker of record.
– Weichert Realtors® – Showcase Homes, Blue Springs, Mo.Broker and Manager Angie Shadduck heads this new office, the eighth Weichert franchise in the Show-Me-State.

The Carolinas saw two Weichert affiliates expand Weichert Realtors® Coastal Choice, with offices in Southport and Wilmington, N.C., opened a third location in Shallotte under Broker Richard Burge. Broker Michael Patterson is the owner. North Myrtle Beach, S.C.-based Weichert Realtors® – Southern Coast crossed state lines to add a second office in Ocean Isle Beach, N.C. Owner Scott Jackson named Susan Lucas as broker.

Weichert Realtors® – Dean-Kelby, with four offices in South Carolina owned by Bryan Crabtree, expanded into Knoxville, Tenn. In Texas, Houston-based Weichert Realtors® – Wayne Murray Properties expanded through an agreement to purchase the business of a Weichert affiliate in Sugar Land.

In commenting on the growth of the Weichert franchise organization, Martin J. Rueter, president of Weichert Real Estate Affiliates, Inc., said, "Nothing's more exciting than welcoming new affiliates aboard and seeing existing franchisees expand. In the year ahead, we look forward to introducing Weichert operating systems to service-minded brokers throughout the country."

Weichert Real Estate Affiliates launched its first independently owned and operated franchise in January 2002 and since has grown to more than 300 signed offices in 29 states.
