Clareity Security Expands SAFEMLS User Base to over 325,000

November 13, 2007
Reading Time: 2 mins read

RISMEDIA, Nov. 14, 2007-Clareity Security’s demonstrated leadership in the real estate security space continues with the recent addition of several new MLS customers who recently made the decision to implement SAFEMLS® for their subscribers including:Sandicor, Inc. (greater San Diego Area)
Oklahoma Metropolitan Association of REALTORS® (MLS Gateway, Inc.)
Northeast Louisiana Association of REALTORS®
Central Louisiana Board of REALTORS®
Northwest Montana Association of REALTORS®

According to the company, these new agreements bring the total number of SAFEMLS customers to 45, including recently installed Toronto Real Estate Board who delivered Clareity Security’s new Alpine token to their 28,000 subscribers and Metropolitan Regional Information Services who will deliver SAFEMLS authenticators to their 60,000 plus subscribers next month.

Ray Ewing, chief executive officer of Sandicor stated, “After taking the time to research all of the possibilities for protecting the MLS and our subscriber’s information, we easily chose Clareity Security’s SAFEMLS as our solution.” Ewing continued, “There are more concerns than ever before in data security and protecting our subscriber’s information. We are confident that SAFEMLS will deliver the security that we need while being a convenient solution.”

According to Clareity, SAFEMLS® provides Web-based MLS systems with a multi factor authentication solution for member access. Key-fob sized tokens or text messaged (SMS) one-time passwords are used in place of traditional username and password system to ensure strong authentication. The result is better protection of the industry’s greatest asset – the MLS system. SAFEMLS has consistently proven to dramatically reduce system abuse, and to increase membership by an average of 15%.

In addition, to SAFEMLS, Clareity Security introduced several new products recently including TEXT-PassTM which allows users to receive one time passwords via text messaging and support for GE Security (SUPRA) lockbox devices which allow users to receive their passwords on their GE lockbox keys. Clareity Security has also seen success with the HACKERSAFE® product – a fully managed, proactive solution to discover and remediate network vulnerabilities by performing daily scans.
