Covering All Bases to Find Success

December 6, 2007
Reading Time: 3 mins read

By Kayla O’Brien

RISMEDIA, Dec. 7, 2007-For Carl Stein, as a broker, there’s no better feeling than knowing you’re constantly in touch with the happenings of your company and your agents. Whether it’s back-office functionality or agent-to-agent communication channels, Stein and his company, RE/MAX Pros, have found satisfaction through utilizing Lone Wolf’s Realty Management System (RMS) and Global Wolf products.

After first being introduced to Lone Wolf at a RE/MAX convention about four years ago, Stein was immediately impressed with the company’s system, which he describes as user-friendly with customer service that is second to none.

“Knowing that the company owners were both an accountant and a real estate broker, they knew both sides of the business that we’d need to operate our business more efficiently,” says Stein, a 25-year industry veteran.

Before incorporating the Lone Wolf systems into his company’s everyday workflow, Stein found himself working with different vendors, trying to accomplish a common goal.

“We wanted to bring it all to one center and make it easier,” he says.

As a growing company of 68, serving the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, Stein has found that the combination of the two Lone Wolf systems has accomplished that goal.

RMS is a database management system that helps Stein and his company manage all of their accounting and back-office functions, while Global Wolf provides the design, support, and maintenance of the company and its agents’ Web sites. With a completely Web-based tool, Stein and his agents can access the system from anywhere that has Internet capabilities.

“It creates a communication system within the office. We can track our ongoing transactions, inclusive of paying our agents’ commissions, our general ledger, payroll, 1099s, escrows, etc. It’s a one-stop operating system,” says Stein. “The broker can communicate with the agents, agents can communicate with other agents-it’s also an intranet system for us.”

Among the many accoutrements, he uses the programs to include messages to and from agents, calendar events, class schedules, reference guides for company guidelines and happenings, and more. The platform provides a vehicle of resources so agents will no longer need to turn to the Internet for information.

Not to mention, he says, the instantaneous access.

“If there’s a major announcement,” he says. “I can put it in front of the agents in seconds. It’s the simplicity and efficiency of having only one vendor to work with, who provides great support.”

Besides streamlining company operations as a whole, Stein says the Lone Wolf combination also eases the process for his agents. The system gives agents a center they can go to in order to operate on a daily basis. They can log-in to the system to view major links and extra information, monitor year-to-date income, post messages to agents or to market properties within the company.

“When you get to be a large company, it helps your agents get to know each other. They’re no longer just passing each other in the hallways, it creates a large family, a synergistic atmosphere with the opportunity to post pictures and tell about yourself,” says Stein. “My accountants even love it because it keeps better records and simplifies it for them rather than jumping back and forth from QuickBooks, etc.”

Moving forward, Stein plans to continue using his system of both Global Wolf and RMS, especially after discovering the power Lone Wolf Real Estate Technologies has to offer. According to Stein, it even helps when recruiting new agents.

“Not many other offices in the area have this platform and so agents look at this as a fantastic tool, aiding our growth on a daily basis,” Stein says. “The two systems are a key tool to my success of running an overall efficient and smooth operating office.”
