RISMEDIA, June 18, 2008-Houlihan Lawrence, one of the largest independently owned and operated residential real estate brokerages in Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess, NY, counties, presented a check in the amount of $5,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle, in honor of their newly appointed Executive Director, Quay Watkins, on June 3, 2008. Watkins is a licensed salesperson at Houlihan Lawrence’s New Rochelle office.

“The Boys & Girls Club has made a wise choice appointing Quay Watkins as their Executive Director,” said Christopher Meyers, COO of Houlihan Lawrence. “Our philosophy has always been to support the local community. We are so proud of Quay’s dedication and commitment to making a difference in the lives of so many deserving children in New Rochelle.”

According to the company, the donation will go towards the New Rochelle Boys & Girls Club’s comprehensive programs that provide a safe haven for boys and girls to learn, thrive and grow. The Club features numerous activities designed to enhance the lives of children in the community, including after school tutoring, homework assistance, computer and technology centers, arts and crafts, leadership training, sports and recreation, dance and many more.

Watkins will oversee all three locations of The Boys & Girls Club throughout the city of New Rochelle, which serves nearly 3,000 children every year. She also serves as Vice President of the New Rochelle Board of Education.

With several years of experience in the residential real estate industry, Watkins specializes in all aspects of relocation. As a former attorney, she provides her buyers and sellers with a competitive edge by combining her sharp negotiating skills with her real estate market knowledge. With expertise in the New Rochelle, Mt. Vernon, Larchmont and Eastchester markets, she is one of Houlihan Lawrence’s most valuable sales agents, the company reports.
