RISMEDIA, Sept. 9, 2008-Realogy Corporation and PHH Mortgage, a subsidiary of PHH Corporation, announced the donation of more than $485,000 to be divided among eight charities: the American Cancer Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Easter Seals, Food Bank of South Jersey, Habitat for Humanity, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and Samaritan Hospice. The funds were raised at The Charity Golf Classic (TCGC) held at the Seaview Marriott Resort and Spa in Galloway, N.J.

“We are honored to be a part of The Charity Golf Classic, which allows us to contribute to these exceptional charities,” said Richard A. Smith, president and chief executive officer, Realogy Corporation. “Along with PHH Mortgage, we thank our sponsors who help make this event a success every year.”

Established in 2000, the event raises funds for charities supported by PHH Mortgage and Realogy Corporation. In just nine years, the event has raised and distributed total net proceeds of $3,865,000 to charitable organizations. This year’s event featured Hale Irwin, who won 20 PGA Tour events including three U.S. Open championships, Suzy Whaley, the first woman to qualify for a PGA Tour event since 1945, and Kevin Hall, a former Big Ten champion from Ohio State who in 2005 became the first deaf person to play in a PGA Tour event. The pros co-hosted a golf clinic, participated in the tournament and assisted with the live charity auction.

“Through the generosity of our sponsors and participants who take part in this great event, once again we are able to support the worthy causes supported by our charities,” stated Terry Edwards, president and chief executive officer of PHH Corporation and PHH Mortgage. “We are proud to assist these organizations that help so many people.”

The Charity Golf Classic is a business entity of The Realogy Foundation. The Realogy Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charity incorporated in Delaware (Tax ID# 20-0755090). The Foundation’s mission is to better the quality of life in communities where Realogy Corporation and PHH Mortgage have a presence. Contributions to The Charity Golf Classic are tax-deductible as provided by law. Donors should consult their tax advisors for complete information about contributions eligible for tax deduction.
