Realtor Safety Week – New Novel Follows Four Rookie Agents

September 16, 2008, 3 pm
Reading Time: 2 mins read

RISMEDIA, Sept. 17, 2008-September 14-20 marks the 5th annual Realtor® Safety Week, which is why the National Association of Realtors® has taken an interest in Realtor Devin O’Branagan’s new novel, “Red Hot Property.”

“Red Hot Property” is an often witty, sometimes tragic, expos? of the real estate industry. It follows the adventures of four rookie real estate agents who are learning to swim with the sharks at the top agency in town. Crazy clients, eccentric colleagues, and dueling managing brokers make this novel a wild ride.

“Red Hot Property” also becomes a cautionary tale about the issue of safety when one of the rookies is murdered while showing property. It is this point that has caught the attention of the National Association of Realtors, various real estate schools, and a variety of real estate agencies.”I have been inundated with requests for interviews,” O’Branagan said. “My colleagues are writing endorsements for ‘Red Hot Property.’ Real estate schools are encouraging their students to read this book. I’ve been asked to speak at sales meetings and do book signings at real estate agencies. I’ve heard about one managing broker who is planning to gift each of her agents with a copy of ‘Red Hot Property.'”

September 14 marks the beginning of Realtor® Safety Week, and this novel dramatizes the need for caution better than any basic list of safety tips ever could. It was the desire to convey this message that motivated O’Branagan to write “Red Hot Property.”

“It’s one thing to receive the top ten safety tips from the National Association of Realtors® once a year during their annual safety campaign, and another thing to see the dangers dramatized, ” O’Branagan says. “All of a sudden, the real estate professionals reading this book may realize that something bad could happen to them, too.”

“Red Hot Property” is a must-read for everyone in the real estate industry, as well as anyone who wants to learn more about what really goes on behind all of those FOR SALE signs.
