NAR Pulse – This Week’s Top Stories from the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS

October 2, 2008
Reading Time: 2 mins read

RISMEDIA, Oct. 3, 2008-This week’s headlines from the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS include: The comprehensive business tool for brokers from REALTOR Benefits® Publications; get office solutions from REALTOR Benefits® Program partners; and don’t forget that the deadline for mandatory NAR Code of Ethics training is approaching.

Manage Your Business Like a Pro With Real Estate Brokerage Essentials

“Real Estate Brokerage Essentials: Managing Legal and Business Issues” is the most comprehensive business tool for brokers to run their offices efficiently and minimize their risk for legal liability. Rave Reviews! In the July/August 2007 issue of The Real Estate Professional, book and video reviewer Dr. Kenneth W. Edwards, GRI, said of Managing Legal and Business Issues, “I have a small bookshelf above my computer where I keep the books to which I refer the most frequently in my writing and teaching activities. This book occupies a prominent spot.”

Office Management Solutions Through the REALTOR Benefits Program

NAR has partnered with companies to save you time and money on a variety of everyday solutions including: shipping services from FedEx, office equipment from Xerox and a digital postage meter offer from Pitney Bowes. For details visit the REALTOR Benefits website.

Reminder: Deadline approaching to complete required NAR Ethics Training

REALTORS®, the deadline is approaching to complete your required quadrennial ethics training. Training must be completed by December 31, 2008, and must cover the REALTOR® Code of Ethics and professional standards enforcement. Local REALTOR® Associations may offer training on their own, or in conjunction with anther association. Other methods, including home study and Internet-based courses, can also be used to meet the required learning objectives. Available for members online are three, free ethics courses. Each meets the specific criteria and learning objectives for new or existing REALTORS®, and completing the course online automatically updates each member’s NRDS education record.
