RISMEDIA, Dec. 11, 2008-Jeff Welles recently joined the advisory team of Executive Franchise Consulting, experts in real estate and real estate franchise consulting, effective December 8, 2008.

George Barlow Founder and President claims, “Jeff Welles brings many years of experience in the area of mergers and acquisitions, finance operations, accounting systems, and budgeting. From 1997 through 2006 Mr. Welles served as Chief Financial Officer and helped manage the growth of Prudential California Realty (a subsidiary of HomeServices of America, Inc.), Prudential Real Estate Affiliates largest brokerage. He was part of a management team that grew the organization from $29 million in 1997 to $775 million in 2006, 4500 real estate professionals and 750 employees. Jeff was also CFO of First Capital Corp, Pru Cal’s ABA mortgage operation.”

“During his tenure, Mr. Welles participated in the negotiation and sale of Prudential California Realty to Berkshire-Hathaway in 2002 and successfully integrated the company’s accounting and finance operations into BRK’s reporting, budgeting, technology and operating systems. Jeff has developed analysis, conducted due diligence, and assisted in numerous acquisitions representing more than $110 million in revenues and will bring great value to our clients,” Barlow says.

According to EFC, Welles also assisted in negotiating $85 million of credit lines for expansion opportunities from 19 branch offices in one region, to 110 branches in five regions. He also implemented and enforced the rules of Sarbanes-Oxley throughout his tenure with Prudential California Realty.

Welles, a licensed CPA, received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from California State University and his MBA from UCLA. Welles says that he’s “pleased to be associated with George and his team. This is an unusual period of time in business, and offers both challenges and opportunities.”

Executive Franchise Consulting is one of the only real estate consulting companies that specializes in assisting real estate franchisors with expansion in markets across the nation. They also work with independent brokerages and franchisees in various capacities.
