RISMEDIA, October 14, 2009—The team behind Profit Power is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its real estate back office software, and will be celebrating this milestone with giveaways, pricing specials, and new special offers at the National Association of Realtors Expo in San Diego on November 13-17.
Developed by Comput-a-Search, the first version of Profit Power was released in 1979 as an in-house MLS system that allowed brokerage firms to enter, store, and manage more than 300 separate pieces of information on a single property listing. Profit Power proved to be pioneering software that allowed real estate companies to catalogue properties and gather valuable statistical data.
Through the years, Profit Power has evolved to reflect changes in technology and changes in the needs of the real estate marketplace. In 1981, Profit Power was moved to a MS DOS operating system, and in 1991, the software was switched to a Windows platform. According to the company, Profit Power is one of the most sophisticated back office and financial systems in the Real Estate industry, and counts many of the top 100 firms in the country among its clients.
“It’s not often you can find one software product that has been able to survive for three decades, or one that has relationships with some current customers lasting 20 years or more,” said Ron Hurak, vice president of Comput-a-Search and co-founder of Profit Power. “The key to the longevity of our product has been the relationships we form with our clients, the feedback they provide us, and our commitment to providing superior customer service and custom solutions.”
Profit Power will display at booth #2409 at the National Association of Realtors Expo.
