Johnny Mowad’s leadership was defined by a historic 2025 milestone: the merger of the MetroTex Association of Realtors® and Collin County Area Realtors®. As president of MetroTex, Mowad navigated the largest association merger in U.S. history, creating a unified powerhouse representing nearly 40,000 members. This landmark consolidation did more than combine entities; it amplified regional influence and streamlined professional development, ensuring that North Texas real estate professionals remain at the forefront of the industry.

Beyond the boardroom, Mowad is a national authority on MLS policy, serving as chair of the National Association of Realtors®’ MLS Technology and Emerging Issues Advisory Board. A top producer for Ebby Halliday Realtors®, he bridges the gap between high-level governance and the practical realities of the market. For Mowad, the mission is centered on leaving the industry better than he found it.
