Effective March 15 and in keeping with Realogy’s Feb. 27 press release, Richard A. Smith, Chief Executive Officer and President of Realogy Corporation, a global leader in real estate and relocation services, took on the additional role of Chairman of the Realogy Board of Directors.
Realogy Board of Directors elected Smith as Chairman of the Board in addition to his ongoing role as Chief Executive Officer and President on Feb. 27. Smith’s appointment as Chairman began March 15, 2012, which was the effective date of Henry Silverman’s resignation from his positions as a director and the non-executive chairman of Realogy’s Board of Directors.
Apollo Global Management, LLC, previously announced Silverman’s resignation from all positions he holds at Apollo and its subsidiaries, affiliates and portfolio companies, effective on March 15, 2012.
