(MCT)—As the Los Angeles Lakers continue to fine-tune the team this preseason, star player Kobe Bryant has made a tweak of his own, adjusting the price on his Newport Coast home to slightly under $7.6 million.
The gated residence, built in Mediterranean style in 1997, sits among tall palms in a guard-gated community with unobstructed ocean and city views. Walnut flooring and limestone finishes are a common theme throughout the 8,741 square feet of living space, which includes four bedrooms, four full bathrooms and three half-baths.
Among the features are an 850-square-foot gym, a hair salon and a home theater complete with a lobby, stadium seating and a wet bar. The master suite sports a private sitting room, a marble-lined bathroom and a newly added walk-in closet. In the wood-paneled office/library is a shark tank.
Public records show that the home last sold in October 1997 for $1.7 million. The property originally came to market in August 2013 with an asking price of $8.599 million and was offered for just under $8 million earlier this year.
