Industry’s Top Leaders Will Provide Key Insights on ‘Building Sustainable Success’ at CEO Exchange

RISMedia’s 2015 Real Estate CEO Exchange, ‘Building Sustainable Success,’ will take a realistic look at the current and future state of the real estate brokerage business, and reveal strategies for building sustainable success—success that is controlled by you, not market fluctuations. The invitation-only event will again be held at the historic Yale Club in New York City on Sept. 16-17, 2015.

Some of this year’s featured speakers include:

Candace Adams_85x100Candace Adams is president and chief executive officer of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties. With more than 1,500 agents across three states, Adams has helped expand the company to provide integrated real estate services including mortgage, insurance, new development and relocation. Adams joined Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties in 1998 after managing her own successful brokerage firm. She continued to rise through BHHSNEP’s ranks, and was selected as president in 2008 and CEO in 2013. An accomplished and frequently recognized real estate leader, Adams was honored in 2008 as one of the “Eight Most Remarkable Women” in business in Connecticut. In 2011 she was named a “Woman of FIRE” by The Commercial Record, Real Estate Executive magazine placed her among the “100 Most Influential Real Estate Executives” in America in 2014, and she was most recently recognized for the second time on Swanepoel’s Power 200 list.

Dermot_Buffini_85x100Dermot Buffini has served Buffini & Company since 1999. Before assuming the role as CEO in 2013, he spent 10 years as the Senior Vice President of Business Development where he was responsible for developing new markets, corporate partnerships and the overall growth of Buffini & Company.

 

David Charron_85x100David Charron is president and chief executive officer of the Metropolitan Regional Information System (MRIS), one of the nation’s largest MLS systems serving more than 40,000 real estate professionals in the Mid-Atlantic region. When he joined MRIS in January 2001, Charron brought a wealth of leadership and strategic industry experience, combining an extensive background in real estate, information systems and Internet business solutions. Charron brings a customer-service focus and first-person management style to his role overseeing all MRIS operations, ensuring that MRIS maintains its leadership edge. Prior to joining MRIS, Charron was the president of Net Input, an Internet-based business consulting practice serving Fortune 500 clients in apparel, media, sports and real estate. From 1980 to 1997, he managed several organizations that successfully defined, marketed and delivered information systems to real estate professionals. Charron currently serves as chairman of the MRIS Investment Committee.

Paul Charron_85x100Paul R. Charron is the former chairman and CEO of Liz Claiborne Inc. Following his retirement, he served for five years as senior advisor at Warburg Pincus, a New York-based private equity firm. A member of the Campbell Soup Company Board of Directors since 2003, Charron became chairman in 2009. In addition to Campbell’s, he serves on the Administrative Board of Escada SE, the global fashion brand headquartered in Munich. He is also the chairman of the U.S. Department of State’s Advisory Committee on International Economic Policy (ACIEP). Charron joined Liz Claiborne in 1994 as vice chairman and COO. One year later, he became president and CEO, and was elected chairman in May, 1996. Previously, Charron was EVP of VF Corporation, and COO of Brown & Bigelow and also served as senior vice president-sales and marketing at Cannon Mills Company, and worked in marketing management positions at General Foods Corporation. Charron received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame, and holds a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard University. He served five years as a Navy officer and is a combat veteran of Vietnam.

Craig Cheatham_85x100Craig Cheatham is president and CEO of The Realty Alliance, a network of 70 of the largest, full-service residential real estate firms in North America, comprising a combined sales force of more than 100,000 agents—in addition to hundreds of employees in real estate operations and affiliated businesses, such as mortgage, title and insurance. Before joining The Realty Alliance, Cheatham spent several years as CEO of the Association of Real Estate License Law Officials (ARELLO), an international federation of agencies involved in the regulation of the real estate industry. Before serving ARELLO, Cheatham worked for many years as COO for the Alabama Association of REALTORS®. Cheatham has been successful in supporting organizations in a non-volunteer capacity for close to 25 years and has earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). He holds a bachelor’s degree from Harding University and an MBA from Samford University.
