Homes.com

As senior vice president of marketing and sales for Homes.com, Erin Ruane leads the sales, customer service and marketing teams, overseeing more than 230 employees. She also provides feedback into overall company strategy and product development.

Ruane says Homes.com achieved several record-breaking sales months in 2019, thanks to solid planning, creative internal and external incentives and communication, strong execution and, most importantly, the most successful cross-department collaboration the company has ever had.

Ruane’s leadership embodies commitment to constant innovation of company vision, culture and community involvement. Under her guidance, Homes.com’s core values have evolved to encompass a deeper commitment to diversity and community service, empowering employees to take accountability for their work and to demonstrate integrity across all company endeavors. She challenges her teams to explore new and creative ways of producing smarter products and to measure their successes.

Ruane cites a quote from Thomas Edison: “Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.”

An accomplished executive with nearly 20 years of experience in digital real estate marketing and advertising sales, Ruane previously served as Homes.com’s executive director of business initiatives. Prior to joining Homes.com, she began her career marketing new homes to agents for John Wieland Homes & Neighborhoods and Ashton Woods Homes in the Atlanta market.

Company service aside, Ruane is also involved with several charitable organizations, including the United Way of South Hampton Roads communications committee, the Women United Board of Directors and the CHKD Oceanfront Circle fundraising group.
