Fara Captain

Fara Captain is broker/owner of Captain & Co. Real Estate, LLC, a diverse firm in Memphis. In 2020, Captain served on committees related to real estate and diversity while continuing to support several community organizations. 

Captain has lived out the principles of fair housing, inclusion, acceptance and diversity awareness with clients, agents, vendors and friends. A member of the Tennessee REALTORS® Diversity committee, Captain offers two courses on inclusivity: “How to Be an Inclusive REALTOR®” and “How to Be an Inclusive Leader.” She was also recognized by the Council of Residential Specialists as a young professional standing up for clients in a low-appraisal situation.

In 2020, she produced a series of video posts on Facebook called “Unpacking the ‘R’ Word” that drew from her own experiences and included links for resources and a place for honest discussion. Captain & Co. Real Estate, LLC is involved with local outreach to marginalized and disadvantaged communities. 

Captain believes in providing outstanding customer service to all her clients by communicating clearly and responding in a timely manner. She was recognized by the Memphis Chamber of Commerce as a Young Memphis honoree, has published guest articles on allyship for the Daily Memphian, and writes a monthly column for WundHer on being an inclusive parent.
