Greg Macres

Coldwell Banker Realty

As executive vice president of Coldwell Banker Realty, Greg Macres oversees the sales operations in nearly 200 Coldwell Banker offices in California, Arizona, Colorado, Utah and Hawaii. Macres’ region is served by more than 11,850 independent sales associates.

In 2019, Macres and his team were focused on streamlining and launching products and tools to help agents instrumentally grow their business. For example, they rolled out Listing Concierge, a full-service suite of tools for listing marketing, and a Wealth Builder series, which helps agents grow their own personal wealth. Many of these core products were conceptualized in the Western region and rolled out nationally.

Macres, who’s been in his current role since 2001, has over 25 years of leadership experience. He started his career at age 18, selling real estate while attending college. After graduating with a degree in finance, he became an office manager and later an owner of Contempo Real Estate. When Contempo was acquired by NRT, he stayed on board and grew with the company to become regional vice president.

In the early 2000s, Macres wrote a memo about the average week and role of a REALTOR®, ending the piece with, “The consumer is demanding. And that is exactly why the REALTOR® is here to stay.”

Macres says, “This statement is as true today as it was then. The reality is today’s consumer expects even more personalized service, and no two transactions are identical, making the real estate agent essential to the transaction process.”
