Joshua Garay, founder of JSG Realty Corporation, is committed to helping those in need. After the Pittsburgh synagogue massacre in late 2018, Garay pledged to donate a portion of new real estate listing commissions to the survivors. Garay’s grandparents survived the Holocaust and support Holocaust organizations and synagogue philanthropy. 

“The Pittsburgh atrocity is devastating for everyone,” Garay said in a press release. “When founding my own boutique brokerage a dozen years ago, my priority was to create a business model that donated a portion of sales back to charity. It was important for me to build my own shop in order to set my priorities straight. Working for others at larger real estate firms would never allow me the flexibility to create my own path.”

Garay supports charities related to other causes, including multiple sclerosis, a disease that claimed the life of his mother, Carole. He encourages others to do the same. “Whether it’s donating to our local church, synagogue, cancer charities or other foundations, we can all do more to help fund the organizations important to us,” Garay said in the release. “In fact, I will donate a percentage of sales in 2019 to the chosen charity for any new seller that signs an agreement with our company.”

JSG Realty Corporation is a licensed real estate brokerage firm that serves clients in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. Garay handles residential, commercial and investment properties and serves as an adjunct professor of digital marketing at Kean University.
