Throughout 2023, Dr. Lawrence Yun aimed to meet the needs of members by providing timely updates on rapidly changing real estate markets. In this pursuit, he led two online real estate forecast summits on residential and commercial real estate, and took a third overall look at real estate and the year ahead in December 2023—each attracting an audience of more than 5,000 attendees. He provided monthly analyses of existing and pending home sales, explaining the latest data on the housing market in video updates for members and the public.

“I love to connect with members and make sure they know what is happening in their market,” says Yun. “I enjoy explaining complex topics in easy-to-understand ways that make clear the latest trends and outlook for the housing market and the economy.”

He also led his team through important surveys on topics such as metro reports for commercial markets; the impact of institutional buyers on home sales and single-family rentals; sustainability in real estate; a snapshot of race and home-buying in America; the problems affecting housing affordability and the supply of homes on the market; and international transactions in U.S. residential real estate, among others. He is also frequently in the news as an industry spokesperson, both in live interviews, print and industry events, calling attention to the need for more inventory and other significant trends.
