Mario Gonzalez, founder and broker of Navy to Navy Homes in Jacksonville, Fla., is passionate about giving back to the community in which he does business. A 24-year retired Navy pilot, Gonzalez formed Navy to Navy Homes as a full-service brokerage that specializes in property management, sales and relocation services for local military families.
In 2019, Gonzalez helped show appreciation to over 200 heroes and their families through the Homes for Heroes program, which helps active and veteran military members, first responders, healthcare professionals and teachers. Since joining the nationwide program, he has given back nearly $1 million to Jacksonville-area heroes. He has also presented numerous Homes for Heroes Foundation Grants to those in times of dire need. For example, Gonzalez recently presented a $5,000 grant to the family of a veteran U.S. Marine and firefighter battling cancer. The funds will help the family with housing and emergency financial needs.
Gonzalez is also the founder and president of the Jacksonville chapter of the Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals, a charitable organization dedicated to helping military and veterans. He is an active member of the Northeast Florida Association of REALTORS® and National Association of Residential Property Managers and is involved with numerous committees. He has a B.S. from the U.S. Naval Academy in electrical engineering and an M.A. in leadership and human resource management from the Naval Post Graduate School.
