Pam Harrison has long supported her community through her work as a volunteer, fundraiser and spokeswoman for several non-profit organizations. In 2021, she hosted the Billy Goodall Golf Tournament and the Anne Arundel County Food Bank Fundraiser. Harrison serves as vice chair of the food bank’s Board of Directors.
The COVID-19 pandemic caused a surge in the need for food, as well as a steep drop in donations to the local food bank. In response, Harrison created a virtual Mobile Cause Campaign and helped with marketing. The campaign raised over $1.3 million to purchase food needed to help members of the community who were struggling to make ends meet during the pandemic.
“There is nothing better that we can do than to lift someone up that needs a helping hand, giving from the heart, and not expecting anything in return,” Harrison says.
