Regional Sales Director Shirene Hazel has consistently demonstrated an exceptional commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion.
In 2023, she led the creation of a diversity, equity and inclusion scholarship program for new REALTORS®. The program is designed to increase and retain minority diversity within Hazel’s organization by providing financial assistance with a one-time subsidy to offset licensing expenses. To date, Hazel’s brokerage is the only one in Connecticut to offer such a program.
Hazel also is committed to the growth and development of her company and its agents. She feels that real results come from empowering and helping your agents.
“As a leader, I must get my agents through daily challenges, difficult sales transactions, and down markets that lead agents to think about quitting,” Hazel explained. “I do this through consistent coaching, strategic metrics, setting accountability measures, and timely tough love.”
“When agents get through these moments and reach, or even exceed their goals, I feel proud too. It is gratifying to see their growth and determination propel them to become market leaders among their peers and in their communities,” she concluded.
