Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New York Properties

Steven James became president and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New York Properties in April of 2022, and focused on expanding the company’s team of agents. At press time, he aimed to have 125 agents operating in a new and larger space by year’s end.

James focuses on strategic growth and acquisitions throughout New York. He takes a hands-on approach to management and mentors agents to help them reach the next level.

“My favorite part of what I do is working with agents on their deals. Whether it’s a buyer or seller issue or a board turndown, I love the nitty-gritty of those deals,” says James. “For so many years, my focus was on more corporate activities, but it’s been so meaningful to experience the deals again. My corporate activities are already increasing because we have strategic goals that we want to accomplish, but I have a great team to always be there for the agents.”
