Sumaiyya Raza played a transformative role in 2025 by leading the historic merger between MetroTex Association of Realtors® and Collin County Area Realtors® (CCAR), creating North Texas’ largest Realtors® association and the nation’s third-largest, representing over 36,000 members. Her leadership ensured the merger navigated complex legal and regulatory challenges seamlessly, setting a national precedent for collaboration and growth.

Beyond this landmark achievement, Raza guided MetroTex through a year of unprecedented legal challenges, including antitrust concerns, policy changes and litigation affecting brokers and agents. Her expertise and strategic foresight safeguarded the association’s operations while strengthening compliance, governance and member protections. Recognized for her calm, forward-thinking approach, she has earned the respect of colleagues and leadership alike for translating complex legal strategy into actionable, sustainable outcomes.
