February 1, 2008

Gates, Liniger and Siegel help kick off next week’s eventRISMEDIA, Feb. 4, 2008–The Real Estate CyberSpace Society has announced that next week’s Seventh Annual National Real Estate Cyber Convention and Exposition http://recyber.cyberconventions.com/ will this year again attract the largest gathering of real estate professionals to convene in 2008. None of the attendees will need to step on an airplane for the event which will open on Monday, February 11th and run for seven days. All will attend from the comfort of their homes or offices and unlike most conventions none will pay a penny to enjoy all of the convention events thanks to the support of the convention sponsors and exhibitors.

At the present rate of early registration the event is expected to easily exceed last years record of 37,825 and attract in excess of 50,000 attendees for the seven-day event. According to the Society, the convention producers, the virtual convention kicks off on Monday, February 11th and runs through Sunday, February 17th

The Society announced Friday that over 33,000 real estate professionals from 26 countries have already pre-registered for this unique virtual event now in its seventh year. There is no charge to attend and the event is open to the real estate community worldwide.

The Society announced the speaker lineup with a wide array of national leaders and experts presenting over the seven-day event including Showcase presentations from Microsoft’s Bill Gates, “Mr. Internet” Michael Russer, real estate super author Dirk Zeller and real estate prognosticator Stefan Swanepoel. Attendees will also learn from over 30 top-notch nationally recognized speakers with keynoters Dave Liniger, Chairman, RE/MAX International, Inc. and Stu Siegel, CEO, eNeighborhoods plus a full line up of featured speakers including national trainers Bill Barrett, Dave Beson, Roger Butcher, Suzee Miller, Terri Morrison, Dan Gooder Richard, Jerry Rossi, Michael Russer, Stefan Swanepoel and Dirk Zeller.

Also presenting are high powered agents Phyllis Staines and Trump Apprentice Winner Kendra Todd.

Industry leaders include: Troy D. Allen, Gayle Buske, Rich Chadwick, Albert Clark, Steve Fells, Bill French, John Helmering, Justin McCarthy, Errol Samuelson, and Brian D. Wildermuth. Featured commercial real estate luminaries include Bob McComb, John M. Peckham III, Robert Ringer, Colleen Sheridan, Rochelle Stone and Margot Weinstein.

In addition attendees will see the latest ideas at hundreds of booths, network and enjoy some fun and relaxation at the Convention’s Virtual Lounge.

Society Executive Director, John M. Peckham III said, “Just like the six previous annual events which have grown steadily from 20,800 to 37,825 attendees and have featured over 150 national speakers, the 2008 Cyber Convention brings real estate professionals all of the excitement and features of a “hard floor” convention – without any of the expense and aggravations.”

This year’s event will be held in an all new 3-D virtual convention center that is extremely immersive. The new center features the Networking Lounge including an array of discussion rooms at selected Expo Booths and a 24- hour “Ticker Tape” featuring special announcements regarding events and special drawings. Also new this year is a 3-D Convention Program Guide containing comprehensive convention information. Another new feature is the Speaker Showcase will highlight special training sessions and showcased new ideas for real estate professions.

The major sponsors for this annual event are RISMedia, RISMedia’s Real Estate magazine, Matthew Ferrara & Company Tech HotLine, the Real Estate Training Center and RealtyU. Official Sponsors include: CCIM Institute, and The Real Estate Apprentice.

“There is very little attendees will miss at this virtual event,” Peckham concluded. “All of the elements of a ‘hard floor convention’ will be there. The only thing missing will be out of pocket costs for airfare, hotel bills, lost shoe leather, aching muscles, travel hassle, registration fees – and time away from home! Attendees can thank the exhibitors and sponsors for that – it’s their gift to the industry”
