Going Beyond the Ordinary – How One Team Finds Success in Real Estate

RISMEDIA, August 15, 2008-Prudential California Realty real estate agents Michael Taylor and Andrea Dougherty are anything but typical. Like many, they have achieved significant success in their 10 years as a team. According to the company, what separates them from the rest is their unique individual histories, constant innovation, top-notch experience and wide reach over Southern California.

Separately, Andrea Dougherty has the distinction of being the first agent hired when Prudential California Realty was established in 1985, by then-president Steve Games.

Michael Taylor entered into real estate through a different avenue, bringing over 18 years of experience as a real estate lender. Before joining Dougherty, Taylor served as a senior executive with a West Los Angeles Savings and Loan, where he managed a loan and real estate portfolio of approximately one billion dollars and sold the bank´s foreclosure properties. Today, Taylor’s extensive banking background provides the team with a competitive advantage, with his knowledge of how to handle foreclosures, short sales and other complicated transactions giving the team a decided advantage over other agents.

Both agents have a deep connection to their home community of Rancho Santa Fe, where both were the agents for numerous properties in The Bridges of Rancho Santa Fe, Rancho Santa Fe Farms and Fairbanks Ranch. “I was selling lots in the Rancho Santa Fe Farms from a trailer on the property in the very beginning,” said Dougherty. “I remember selling lots for Fairbanks Ranch when it was just dirt.”

While the team’s history clearly sets them apart from the competition, their focus on innovation is what has continued their dominance into the present. They were one of the first real estate teams to create individual websites for all of their listings, besides the listings being included on their own website. This listing method was revolutionary at introduction, and continues to provide a unique and important communication method for their sellers. “We are proud of how we have combined technology and excellent customer service to our clients’ advantage,” said Taylor.

The team’s extensive reach over Southern California is yet another leading benefit. “While we may have started in Rancho Santa Fe, we now list and sell all over San Diego County, including Carlsbad, Downtown, Oceanside, Del Mar, Solana Beach and other areas,” said Dougherty.
