Christie’s Great Estates Announces 2 New Exclusive Affiliates

September 29, 2008, 4 pm
Reading Time: 3 mins read

RISMEDIA, Sept. 30, 2008-Mammoth Realty Group has been selected as an exclusive affiliate of Christie’s Great Estates, a wholly owned subsidiary of Christie’s International plc, one of the world’s oldest fine art auction houses. Through Mammoth Realty Group, buyers and sellers of high-end properties in the Mammoth Lakes area of California now have access to the combined marketing efforts of Christie’s and Christie’s Great Estates.

“Christie’s two-century-old tradition of exceptional expertise in high-value marketing gives us an invaluable referral network to match buyers and sellers of luxury homes in Mammoth,” says Stephanie Cook, owner and broker of Mammoth Realty Group. “Snow, exceptional beauty, and the allure of owning a second home are what bring visitors to Mammoth. Christie’s will put the Mammoth name prominently and with credibility in front of buyers from around the globe.”

“I am pleased to welcome Mammoth Realty Group to the Christie’s Great Estates network,” says Liz Anderson Fitzgerald, vice president of the Western Region. “Mammoth Realty Group’s client-focused approach and their continued commitment to excellence and integrity are traditional Christie’s values that we look for in our affiliates.”

In other company news, Sherry FitzGerald has joined as the exclusive Irish affiliate of Christie’s Great Estates. With this new association with the Christie’s brand, Sherry FitzGerald will offer vendors of high-end properties in Ireland access to buyers throughout the globe. Moreover, for Irish residents wishing to purchase or sell high-end properties in locations such as the South of France and Portugal, the Christie’s Great Estates network offers them access to such markets.

According to Mark FitzGerald, group chief executive, “We are delighted to be associated with Christie’s Great Estates. It is a network with a great brand and reputation that broadens and deepens our reach.”

The Sherry FitzGerald Group’s international strategy began in 1998 when DTZ International acquired a share in the Group’s commercial property advisory business. In 2005, Sherry FitzGerald entered the Central and West London residential market by acquiring the established Marsh & Parsons agency, which had been founded in 1856.

According to Philip Sherry, a founder of the Irish Group, who will head up Christie’s Great Estates in Ireland, “This association gives the Group a fourth brand-two of which are international (DTZ and Christie’s Great Estates), and two of which are local market leaders (Sherry FitzGerald and Marsh & Parsons). Indeed, in the last decade, much of our experience has shown us that the combination of local and international brands does appeal to many clients, who either want to access a market or see their property reach a particular market.”

Sherry continued, “Affiliates like The Daniel Féau agency in Paris, The John Taylor agency in the South of France, IRG International Realty Group in the Algarve of Portugal, and DM Properties in Marbella, Spain all fit with a profile of Irish clients who purchased property in these locations in the last decade.”

“Sherry FitzGerald has a reputation for conscientious client service and professionalism that has won the company both admiration and respect beyond the shores of Ireland,” says Joachim Wrang-Widén, Christie’s Great Estates European Director of Real Estate. “I have known the senior management of Sherry FitzGerald for a few years now and I am delighted to welcome them and their company into our global network. They are a very good addition in what is for us an important market and as Sherry FitzGerald already enjoys a leadership position in Ireland, we look forward to developing their client offering by adding our international residential dimension.”

According to the company, Christie’s Great Estates is one of the largest international luxury networks of real estate brokers specializing in the marketing and sale of high-end properties. This network of carefully selected real estate firms includes more than 850 offices and approximately 35,000 sales associates in more than 40 countries.
