The Tradition of Giving at Diane Turton, Realtors

December 7, 2008
Reading Time: 2 mins read

RISMEDIA, Dec. 8, 2008-Everyone at a leading real estate office is showing their gratitude by making three separate donations to St. Gregory’s Pantry this holiday season.”Each of us feels fortunate for the many good things in our lives,” said Tino Colombo, the manager of Diane Turton, Realtors’ office in Point Pleasant Beach. “We have made an annual contribution to the food pantry for the last ten years. Now, we are doing a little more to help individuals and families facing tough times.”

Just before Thanksgiving, each employee of the Diane Turton, Realtors’ Point Pleasant Beach sales office donated a turkey and non-perishable food items. On December 10th, they will bring over toys that will be distributed to children and teens. And, just before Christmas, more turkeys and food will be brought to the food pantry.

For more than 20 years, St. Gregory’s Ecumenical Emergency Food Pantry has been helping families in need in the greater Point Pleasant Beach area. Today, over 13 houses of worship are involved in the non-profit food pantry, which receives generous support from people, businesses, schools, clubs and service organizations. Throughout the year, St. Gregory’s gives temporary aid in the form of food and personal items to 1,200 families.

During the holidays alone, the organization assists 200 to 250 families.

Beneficiaries include the elderly, single mothers, persons with disabilities and low-income working families.

St. Gregory’s is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to noon. The telephone number is 732.892.8105.

Office members who are making donations include Mr. Colombo, his sales associates and employees: Valerie Barth, Karen Barlow, Robert Booth, Dawn Frank, Thomas Gallagher, Maria Hayes, Cameron Reynolds, Diane Santos, Linda Sardoni, and Deborah Tarantin. The office is located at 630 ½ Arnold Avenue in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, and the phone number is 732.295.0018.
