RISMEDIA, April 21, 2009-Next month, RISMedia will hold its 4th Annual Power Broker Forum & Reception during NAR’s Midyear Legislative Meetings in Washington, D.C. The focus will be on “Maximizing Distressed Property Business,” and will feature several industry leaders on the discussion panel. The session is open to all NAR attendees.  The event will take place Thursday, May 14, 2009 from 3:30-5 p.m. (Forum) and a reception will follow from 5-6 p.m.

Location: Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, Washington, D.C.
Who can attend: Any day-conference or full-conference NAR Midyear attendees

Ken Baris, President, Jordan Baris, Inc. Realtors

Ken Baris is the president of Northern New Jersey-based Jordan Baris, Inc. Realtors. With the brokerage since 1985, Baris is the son of Jordan Baris, founder of Jordan Baris, Inc. Baris, with a partner, developed and licensed to Top Producer Systems, Top Presenter, an interactive multimedia listing presentation awarded the “Best Software Product of the Year by NAR” when launched. He is a founding member of the Zillow Advisory Board.

Baris is on the executive committee of eLumindata, Inc. a business analytics software company. He is a founder and served on the board of directors of First State Bank of NJ. Baris holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from Rutgers University.

In the media, Baris has been seen on CNBC and “NBC Nightly News” as a real estate expert. He is frequently quoted and has been seen in USA Today, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, CNBC.com, Bloomberg.com, Real Estate News, Real Estate Business and The Star Ledger.
