Houston Association of Realtors Syndicates Listings To Trulia

RISMEDIA, August 4, 2009-The Houston Association of Realtors® (HAR), the nation’s second largest local Realtor association, and Trulia, Inc., have announced a partnership that enables the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) to automatically feed more than 50,000 for-sale property listings throughout the greater Houston area to Trulia.com. HAR joins other leading MLSs, such as MLSPIN, CLAW, MLSLI and NORMLS in providing direct feeds to Trulia.

According to HAR, home listings on Trulia provided by HAR will contain full property descriptions as well as photos and contact information for the listing agent. Consumers will be able to access the HAR Web site (www.HAR.com) through links on the home listing so they can receive detailed information about the property, neighborhood, listing agent, brokerage and more. HAR.com is the only local site to regularly rank among the top 25 most frequently visited real estate sites in the U.S., according to the organization. Every month, more than one million unique visitors generate an average of 1.6 billion hits on the site.

“We’re delighted to partner with Trulia as part of HAR’s ongoing mission to maximize exposure for our more than 23,000 members and their listings,” said HAR Chair Vicki Fullerton. “Trulia’s direct feed program presents an enormous marketing opportunity for our member agents and their sellers, with additional exposure to Trulia’s millions of visitors.”

“We’re thrilled to add real estate innovator HAR to our list of partners,” said Sami Inkinen, COO and co-founder of Trulia. “We are both focused on delivering the best possible experience to both real estate professionals as well as to home buyers and sellers. This partnership will provide Trulia users access to all Houston area home listings while introducing these buyers to HAR members who can help guide them through their purchase process.”

Trulia also receives home listings from technology vendors that accept feeds from MLSs, such as Threewide Corp and Point2, which provides listings from more than 200 MLSs to Trulia. More information about what Trulia offers to MLSs is available at http://www.trulia.com/mls.
