Hundreds Gather for Dalton’s Regional Social Media Summit in Florida, Event Kicks-Off New Book Promo

RISMEDIA, September 21, 2010—Hundreds of industry professionals enthusiastically participated last week in a regional “Social Media Summit,” presented by Allan Dalton, chief marketing officer of RISMedia and president of the Top 5 in Real Estate Network® and hosted by Prudential Florida Realty, a charter member of RISMedia’s Real Estate Information Network (RREIN).

While Prudential Florida Realty hosted the event, it was open to all agents, and hundreds of South Florida Realtors® attended the September 14th and 15th social media events, which also served as an educational backgrounder on RISMedia’s RREIN program, as well as the unofficial launch of the promotional campaign for Dalton’s groundbreaking, new book, Leveraging Your Links, available now at a discounted price and scheduled for release in early October.

The events provided a rare opportunity for agents who are interested in understanding and leveraging social media, to expand their real estate business.

Insightful tips were shared on how to convert friends, fans and followers into customers and clients:

• The number one reason to engage in social media and social networking should be to help consumers
• Create your business social network
• Convey your real estate social marketing value
• You can create success in any marketplace
• You must have a strategy and a plan for social networking and social media to create your “Real Estate Social Network”
• Focus on consumer needs by providing relevant information and content

The seminar offered a small sample of the detailed information on how to use social media and social networking to build your real estate business, that’s provided in Leveraging Your Links. “We feel strongly that Allan’s book enthusiastically has the power to drive and influence our industry and change the way we view and utilize social media and social networking,” said Rei Mesa, president and CEO of Prudential Florida Realty.

Here is an excerpt from the book: “Leveraging Your Links is entirely geared toward enabling forward-thinking and consumer-centric real estate professionals and companies to elevate the perfunctory practice of utilizing social networking to become vastly more connected, to learn how to dramatically increase not just their range and reach, but the influence they can have with increasingly sophisticated consumers.”

As he does in Leveraging Your Links in comprehensive detail, Dalton provided powerful and specific ways agents can incorporate content into their off- and online marketing platforms and how they should be using content in social media and social networking to create a Real Estate Social Marketing System(sm).

“Thank you for bringing Allan Dalton to speak to our associates and also to our management team,” said Mary Gerakopoulos, managing broker, Prudential Florida Realty Boca Raton. “My sales associates were thrilled to hear him speak and appreciate his knowledge, expertise and perspective. He gave all of us a lot to think about as we formulate our plans for our “business media” going forward. Thanks again for your insight in bringing him to our team.”

Zeev Greenstein of Nadlan Realty in Wellington, Florida, added: “Thank you for the opportunity, it was just great to listen to Mr. Dalton. This is an example of the kind of people that could take our industry (or any) to the next level.”

Dalton praised Mesa for his efforts to not only bring the Social Media Summit to his own agents, but open it up to all area Realtors.

“I have travelled the world and Rei Mesa is one of the most caring and dedicated leaders I’ve seen,” said Dalton. “Rei is committed to providing consumer-driven content and is passionately devoted to the people throughout his organization and the industry.”

All Prudential Florida agents were provided with a complimentary copy of Leveraging Your Links. To order your copy today at a discounted price of $19.99, click here.
