Full-Motion Video Makes for Virtual Tours 2.0

RISMEDIA, October 26, 2010—TourFactory, an innovator in real estate marketing solutions, announced today the ability to incorporate full motion video into its virtual tour platform. These new video-capable tours now support the use of still photography, moving panoramic images as well as video clips in a seamless presentation.

“You no longer need a large budget and a production crew to produce a quality, impactful presentation that includes video of the property and the listing agent,” said Herb Dierks, CEO of TourFactory. “We’re excited to bring Virtual Tour 2.0 to the real estate community, and even more excited to be able to expand the marketing capabilities of our clients without expanding the cost.”

Building upon the acclaimed TourFactory user experience, the new video-capable virtual tours open a door for agents to use the right presentation medium for the highlighted feature. By using a combination of still imagery, panoramic photos and video clips, the complete presentation becomes a reality. “We aren’t thinking video vs. photos. We are using the great strengths of both to simultaneously present the property and the agent.”

“Even though we are presenting agents with the option to upload their own video clips, we are expecting a tremendous demand on our photographer/videographer network for professionally recorded clips as well, and we are working aggressively to train and expand our network to keep up with demand.”

The new video-capable tours do not require complicated or expensive video-editing software. Re-arranging clips and adding audio takes seconds. All existing TourFactory virtual tours are now fully video ready, allowing existing customers to start adding video clips immediately.
