Company Spotlight: Click and Done – REALTOR® Credits Lowe’s Inside Out e-Newsletter with a Job Well Done

RISMEDIA, December 18, 2010—While Chris Farkas is relatively new to the real estate business, the three-year real estate professional knows one thing for sure: you have to work hard in this business and you need good marketing systems to achieve success.

About 10 months ago, for example, Farkas chanced upon the Lowe’s Program for REALTORS®, developed in partnership with the National Association of REALTORS® through its REALTOR Benefits® Program, and couldn’t be happier with the results.

“We use the consumer e-newsletter (Inside Out),” says Farkas, a REALTOR® with Keller Williams in Bellingham, Washington. “We have a large number of clients that we have the e-newsletter sent to each month. It’s great because my clients realize the value I’m providing them and it gives me more credibility because I’m affiliated with Lowe’s.”

Through the Lowe’s Program for REALTORS®, Farkas’ clients are sent the Inside Out e-newsletter on a monthly basis. The newsletter provides her clients with important information on buying, selling and moving to a home. The newsletter is sent out on behalf of Farkas, automatically by Lowe’s—all Farkas needs to do is enter her clients’ names through her Lowe’s Program for REALTORS® account.

“I can tell you that I have seen business come from the e-newsletter,” says Farkas. “People will stop me and tell me how much they loved a specific article or how it helped them in their lives.”

What’s more, Farkas makes sure to receive a copy herself each month so she knows firsthand what type of information her clients are reading. She agrees; the articles are spot on.

“I love the articles because they are very useful and practical,” she says. “They answer a lot of my buyers’ and sellers’ questions and it looks like all of the information is coming from me. … Why wouldn’t I use this? There’s no point to reinventing the wheel.”

The Inside Out e-newsletter is easy to use and requires client e-mail upload only once…Lowe’s takes care of the rest.

“It really is simple to use,” says Farkas. “That’s one of the things I love about it. It doesn’t take a lot of time. You just input the name once, click and forget about it. It goes out like clockwork and I can spend my time talking to clients…which is where my time should be spent.”

The Lowe’s Program for REALTORS® is free for NAR members and offers personal marketing tools from Lowe’s through its partnership in NAR’s REALTOR Benefits® Program.
