Company Spotlight: Keeping Up with Technology – David Knox’s Online Training Website Allows Agents to Take Training into Their Own Hands

RISMEDIA, January 19, 2011—“When it comes to training, convenience is key,” says Lynne Hegedus, director of career development at Hunt Real Estate ERA, a member of RISMedia’s Real Estate Information Network® (RREIN). “We want our agents to participate in our training program in order to sharpen their skills, so it is crucial that we meet the needs of our agents through the mediums in which they feel comfortable.”

According to the company, since Hunt Real Estate ERA began offering David Knox’s online training website (www.realestatetrainingbydavidknox.com) to its agents in April, the company has been able to provide the most up-to-date training resources while offering a streamlined approach that is simple for agents to use.

“Over the years, we have received feedback from numerous agents stating that it is hard for them to participate in our live training sessions,” says Hegedus. David Knox’s training website fills this void and provides training on a 24/7 basis so agents can train when it’s convenient for them. In conjunction with the company’s newly created online training platform (www.huntuniversity.com), Hegedus’ agents are provided with a well-rounded training curriculum.

“Our agents can now take training into their own hands and participate no matter where they are,” she says, “in addition to being able to review the information on their own time, rather than having to wait until a specific class is offered. David Knox’s online training library has a lot of great material—a lot of which we as a company haven’t delved into yet.”

The training materials that cover social media, pricing, expireds, prospecting and listing presentations are just a few of the many topics that have been well received within the company. “The online training library, in tandem with our training website, has allowed us to create a more well-rounded training system for our agents,” Hegedus says.

Depending on a virtual training program has allowed the company to add more consistency in terms of what their training looks like from region to region. In addition, David Knox’s website offers Hunt Real Estate ERA more training material than any of their competitors have, and it has helped the company expand the scope and breadth of its training curriculum.

“Being able to offer our agents the expertise of a nationally renowned trainer has been a huge advantage for us in our marketplace,” she says.

In an industry where consistency is crucial, David Knox and his team work hard to ensure they are keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and providing their clients with the latest information that will help them find success in today’s market.

“We get e-mails from David that cover the latest materials that are available on his website, which is a great way for us, as trainers, to stay current with the latest trends and ensure our agents are being provided with information that is timely and accurate,” she says. The website also features a section on the homepage that links to new material, keeping everyone in the loop. Not only is new material constantly available, but it is all very well done and thorough.

“Working with David and his team has been a pleasure since the beginning,” says Hegedus. “There is always someone available to help us when needed, and the entire staff is incredibly responsive.”
