RISMEDIA, February 16, 2011—Van Eaton & Romero, Inc. and the residential division of ERA Stirling Properties/Lafayette, announced that the companies have finalized an agreement that will bring together two of the areas most respected real estate brands. Effective immediately, this acquisition increases the size of Van Eaton & Romero, already one of the largest real estate brokerages in Acadiana by approximately 22% of the residential marketshare.

According to Broker/Owners Nancy Van Eaton Broussard and Gail Romero, “ERA Stirling Properties has a strong reputation in our community and we’ve had excellent relationships with their agents and management team over the years. We’re extremely proud to welcome them into our firm.”

Van Eaton & Romero is consistently ranked among the top 500 real estate firms in the nation by RealTrends Magazine and operates five offices in four cities with more than 200 agents and staff. The acquisition of ERA Stirling brings an additional 60 agents into the locally-owned firm.

William “Bill” Bacqué, Van Eaton & Romero CEO stated, “As individuals, we know that none of us are as strong as all of us, and the addition of 60 high-caliber agents and staff adds more power and capability to our company. We believe that keeping the ERA Stirling Lafayette team together is a win-win for everyone.

“By joining forces, Van Eaton & Romero effectively boosts our current leadership position of 30.56 percent of the market to 36.44 percent in dollar volume for both transactional sides of residential real estate sales, according to REALTOR® Association of Acadiana statistics for 2010,” Bacqué stated, adding, “and it increases our sales force by approximately 30 percent.”

“Our similar company cultures and aligned mission statements of delivering exceptionally high levels of customer service are just two of the reasons why we felt this union made sense,” said Bacqué.
