(MCT)— “Friends” star Matthew Perry has put two homes up for sale and sold a condo in the last three weeks.
His contemporary-style house in the Sunset Strip area is priced at $5,695,000.
The 4,100-square-foot mid-century modern features disappearing walls of glass that open to a patio and swimming pool, a home theater, and indoor and outdoor fireplaces. There are three bedrooms and 3 ½ bathrooms. He bought the property in 2006 for $1.7 million.
The actor’s ocean-view Malibu house is listed at $13.5 million.
Also contemporary, it features sliding-glass walls that open to decks, a home theater, a media room, and a master suite with dual bathrooms, a sitting area, a fireplace and a window seat. There are four bedrooms, 5 ½ bathrooms and 3,677 square feet of living space. Outdoor amenities include a swimming pool, spa and fire pit.
Perry purchased this property in 2005 for $6.55 million.
And he sold his Sierra Towers condo in West Hollywood. The contemporary unit went for $2.85 million within two months of being listed at $2,995,000. He bought it from Elton John in 2005 for $3.2 million.
The 22nd floor condo sits at the southeastern corner of the glass-sheathed high-rise with a balcony offering skyline views. It has two bedrooms and 2 ½ bathrooms in 1,672 square feet.
All this real estate activity comes on the heels of his summer purchase of a newly built custom house in the Sunset Strip area for $8.65 million. Yes, it too has glass walls.
Perry, 42, starred in the sitcom “Friends” starting in 1994. Since playing Chandler Bing, he starred in “17 Again” (2009) and the comedy series “Mr. Sunshine” (2011).
Fire Sale for Mouseketeer
The longtime Encino home of actress and singer Annette Funicello, which was damaged in a fire in March, has sold for $714,250, the MLS shows.
The once 3,376-square-foot house had four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Listing details described the 1960s home as “burnt to the studs.”
Funicello, 69, started on “The Mickey Mouse Club” in 1955 as one of the original Mouseketeers and went on to become a teen idol with Frankie Avalon in a series of beach-based party films including “Muscle Beach Party” (1964), “Bikini Beach” (1964) and “Beach Blanket Bingo” (1965).
Ex-Clipper to Move Forward
NBA player Corey Maggette has sold his Westchester house for $1.85 million. The former L.A. Clipper listed it in May at $2.1 million.
The contemporary Mediterranean features a custom movie theater, a guesthouse, two fireplaces, five bedrooms, six bathrooms and about 4,800 square feet of living space.
Maggette, 31, who was with the Clippers from 2000 to 2008, now plays for the Charlotte Bobcats. He bought the house new in 2008 for $1,784,500.
