Changing the Real Estate Transaction One Signature at a Time

As real estate transactions continue to become increasingly paper-laden, Krisstina and Garry Wise of The GoodLife Team in Austin, Texas, are working to take the paper out of the transaction entirely. “Paper slows everything down,” says Garry. “DocuSign removes the hassles of paper to help our team close more deals faster, at a lower cost, and provide an experience that delights our customers,” he adds.

Whether their agents are working at the office or on-the-go, DocuSign, the industry standard for electronic signature, is helping them stay ahead of their competition while offering their clients a level of experience that goes above and beyond. As real estate agents and consumers alike continue to become increasingly mobile, DocuSign is making it easy for The GoodLife Team to conduct business no matter where their agents—and their customers—are in the world.

“One of the biggest benefits of DocuSign is the product’s mobile functionality,” says Krisstina. Not only does it eliminate the need for agents to go back to the office to complete paperwork—since everything is stored in the cloud—it allows clients to sign documents from anywhere, anytime, on any device. “Our agents and customers are no longer tied to printers, fax machines and driving around town to sign documents. DocuSign lets us be more productive at and away from work,” she adds.

Not only has the mobile app enabled agents to work on site with clients, it also allows clients to become more directly involved. “DocuSign has added an element of excitement and wonder for our clients,” says Garry. The service can be used on a desktop or with mobile devices, such as iPhones and iPads, allowing clients to sign documents with a stylus or even their finger while at the property. “By getting clients involved, it helps them emotionally remove a lot of the fear associated with signing documents related to the home-buying or -selling process,” he continues. “Our customers are now getting an experiential connection to signing documents online,” adds Krisstina, “offering a whole different level of experience.”

Adding to the benefit of being able to work while on-the-go, DocuSign speeds up the entire transaction in addition to providing data integrity—two aspects that are crucial to success, especially in today’s difficult market. “DocuSign makes it easy to send documents to our clients, get them signed and then submitted to the other party—whether it be a buyer, seller, another agent or title company—within seconds, instead of days,” says Garry.

“DocuSign has made us more competitive,” adds Krisstina. “We’re closing more deals faster, reducing costs and providing a superior service experience.”
